Our story

Cintya grew up in Mexico and started her teaching career in 2005. She was an English language teacher in public and privite schools in Mexico and expanded her expertise to include teacher training, tutoring, and online Spanish instruction across various platforms. She is a certified Spanish teacher by The International House of Mexico and Instituto Cervantes of Spain, and she has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching. Furthermore, she holds a certification in Teaching Competences for High School Education by Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de México (UPN- ANUIES). Cintya participated in 2016 and 2018 in the IAPE program for Mexican teachers in the Rassias Center at Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire, where she actually met her husband Aaron.
Aaron grew up in California and spent his senior year of high school as an exchange student in Germany. He started teaching high school physics in 2000, then worked in a physics lab for a while, and then became an outdoor science educator before leaving that to do educational science theatre programs with a science museum. Eventually he got back into the classroom and in 2009 began teaching German on weekends and in the summer. In 2014 he started teaching music and soon afterward started his Orff-Schulwerk music certification, which he completed in 2017. In 2018, he went to a language teacher training at the Rassias Center at Dartmouth College. Not only did he learn a lot of teaching strategies, but he met his wife Cintya there.
